i thought the first episode was pretty strong. cinematically it was fantastic, it beautifully shot with great scenery. it brings back the old dexter but with a breath of fresh air. that was a smart choice.

- but it did feel a little rushed at times. i thought they wouldn't need to push the story forward so much in just the first hour
- and the cgi was terrible, let's be honest
- it's a little hard to believe how nobody in the town has recognized dexter. he looks exactly the same as he did 10 years ago

you know it's good when the narration finally kicked in. it was nice to see old dexter back by his little jokes and comments

Oh hell yeah. I literally lost it when i heard that. Im just so exited for what we will see in the future episodes and the trailer for the next episode also seem really spicy.

me too. i'm glad they didn't turn deb into the new harry but instead she seem to be more demonic, haunting dexter. it's interesting

Yeah. It really felt fresh and the way they filmed the scenes with Deb, im a hoe for good scenography, and the balance between what Dexter sees and what's actually there, it was so so so good and also scary but mostly because I could relate to the part of imagining people in front of you.

you can tell the old directors of the show are back. even if the story ends up being disappointing (though i doubt it can be as bad the last seasons), at least the rest will be worthwhile
