I did two trial shifts of 3ish hours, one last week and one this week, and the boss lady called me earlier saying that she wants me to come work next week, see how it goes. After the last time I thought she was gonna turn me down because she was like ehhh I need to think about it but I think this is a good sign.
The boss is a really nice lady, bit tough, her voice sounds like she's currently smoking an entire pack at once and she makes a lot of typos when texting but she's very nice. I've actually kind of known her for a while now because, and get this, the job is at the craft store I go to!!! Incredible, a job in an environment I actually like? Who'd've thought?
Hopefully this time will be better than the café job, since it was such a stressful and exhausting one. And gross. Food is disgusting.
The only downside really is that it's a bit far away from my house, like, 15 minutes by car but public transit here is actual butt so like, an hour and two busses away but that's alright, I used to do that every day to go to school and that went. Well, badly, but not because of the travel.
The embarrassing part though is that she had to talk to my mum first because for some reason they only hire 21 and up? What a weird age. I guess because military service and shit but like. Meh. It's alright though, she was chill about it. Yeeeeee
