has chosen to make me the stand-in for his dad during christmas. my mum is taking care of my uncles (her brother) little white chihuahua who is mentally deranged and 13 years old. literally has never liked me (or my mum for that matter) his whole life, always barking, snapping, biting out at us (without actually biting) and now he's here at my mums house over the holidays, since my uncle and aunt and cousins are spending christmas in miami. so nemo (the dog) ofc needed to find new allies to survive his little vacation, and, to my extreme surprise and pleasure, he has chosen me as his favourite person apparently. i was so completely prepared to have to work for his affections and him choosing my mum ofc bc she is the one actually walking him and feeding him, but for some reason he chose. me. he follows me around, wags his tail and runs about and yaps and plays if ive been out and come home or when i wake up and come downstairs. he is just obsessed with me, he will stare at me for prolonged amounts of time and start whining if he is lacking attention. wants to come sit on my lap after dinner at the table, and spends literally his every waking minute next to me on the sofa. but he cant jump up on it on his own, so he will just go stand by the it and look at me until i pick him up, and he will do a little jump as if he's doing it on his own.Ā i love him now, suddenly
