if we want to shame people for being 'unhealthy' then we better apply that mentality across the board.

1. people use health to excuse their fatphobia, harrassing people for their weight when it's none of their business. and i just showed that little comment thread because it clearly shows that the 'health' argument is a facade

its proven that being "underweight" is more of a damage to your health than being "overweight", yet people still think being unhealthy skinny is cute and glamorous while being chubby is gross and lazy

Helps if ur pretty tho, even if u know someone is on the same degree of addiction w for example heroin, a prettier person would be more likely to get sympathy n whatever, while an ugly and tired looking person will be looked at as a turd to society pretty much. my point is not 'go shame everyone' lol. my point is that fatphobic people will literally use every excuse in the book (health, discipline, etc, etc) except for acknowledging that the primary reason they harass fat people is simply bc they are disgusted by how they look. but they won't admit it bc that would make u unethical

yep. and fat people can't have anything on the internet unless they make it clear that they are actively losing weight. a fat person just existing, without intention to become skinnier, is not done

Not unethical but u would just look like a bad person n nobody wants that. For me, truth is good tho (rather it be an opinion abt somebodies looks or whatever or actual truth) but I would never say the truth to most ppl

Skinny is the standard because people are gross, yeah, but fat is abnormal because it's unhealthy. We aren't built like bears, our bodies can't handle being fat. That's not to say you should shame people into being healthy, a. because that's rude, b. because it's non of your business and doesn't affect you and c. because it doesn't work, but I don't think it's outlandish to say we shouldn't normalise obesity.

Skinny is the standard because people are gross, yeah, but fat is abnormal because it's unhealthy. We aren't built like bears, our bodies can't handle being fat.
