Are any of you on it / Do any of you have past experiences with it?

I'm 100% convinced that I've slumped back into a depression for the past
three months, and I've been meaning to talk to my contact person about
going on sertraline, I'm currently on Abilify every day, quetiapine to
sleep, and beta-blockers for when I get anxious, idk if sertraline would
mess with any of that though?

Also I’ve been crying uncontrollably so many times
its either that or completely numbness

Sertraline ruined my life... It took me 5 years to get over what that shit caused... that being said, I know a few people now who swear by it and it's not caused them any grief. It's actually helped them

Can I ask something here, given that the topic is for it and you and some of the others are on pills. Which is the most normal to get for depression and is there anything to look out for?

i was on it for like a month got some mild weird side-effects that i hated (don't even remember what they were now and i think a lot of it was just me overthinking Everything bc i was doing that a lot at the time) then decided i didn't need antidepressants because the doctor gave it to me after talking to me for literally only 15 minutes and he didn't even think i was depressed so i don't know why i got the prescription lol <3 and like it was a tiny dose that would have done absolutely nothing no matter what

idk. i think my best friend was on it for a while and it helped her though! and like my past experience actually has zero significance here shdgjk i actually just wanna say good luck and i hope things get better for u

idk which is most normal, all i wanna say is watch out for duloxetine, ive read a ton about how it can be absolutely horrible to get off, that side effects from withdrawal can last for many months or even years and stuff. not that its useless, has helped my anxiety a lot but it shouldnt be the first thing to try out!! if i had known more about it before going on it, i simply wouldnt

Thanks, I'm to contact the doctor within the next weeks and I personally worried a bit, because I see threads like this and I wouldn't want to be on something, that might fuck me up more.

was on it for like 2 years, prior to that i was very unstable and it helped to get through
got off of it for like 3 years and everything went downhill from there, made myself believe its rat poison, i dont need medication to be stable, reading horror stories on the internet etc but i literally cried everyday and felt like garbage and contemplated suicide
on it again and it has helped stabilise the mood and yes, it kinda numbs u down but in a good way so id say give it a try, see if it helps you, if not you can always get off of it
and pls dont sit on forums and read horror stories because the only thing that will do is make you anxious and overanalyze everything and in the end just hinder a most likely good decision for your wellbeing

also after treatment with sertraline, and you find that you experience sexual side effects such as numbness or struggling with reach orgasm or just in general mind numbness / tiredness you can combine it with bupropion and honestly that shit is amazing and makes you feel like you wanna live your life again

pls do not be scared off
