Popstar

i am reading right now:

vinland saga: very good, recommend
20th century boys: really drags tbh, urasawa's art is great but his episodic mystery-style is not my thing
kieta hatsukoi (my love mix up): super cute gay people uwu
rainbow: god i hate the artstyle but the story's very interesting
akira: haven't read it for a while, not really my thing but im too stubborn to stop
sunny: i really like these heartfelt slice of life type of stories

i want to read:

nana
banana fish
eden: it's an endless world
dead tube

anyone else reading manga? which one? got any recommendations?

somehow manga's 2 most popular people (naoki urasawa and junji ito) i didn't like their works of? i love their art obviously, and ito's horror is lovely. but i don't really care about the characters or feel emotional attachment whatsoever, which is very important for me when reading.

also i know kento miura (berserk) is prob the most popular work but small chance i'll ever read berserk unless he had an ending planning out that his team is willing to continue. but it has to be his ending and not something his team/relative continued on their own.

damn i would love to read more manga, but i hate digital reading over everything. i mean idk i read to get away from screens so lol
and you can't really find that much manga from local library, like there's been literally one manga i've wanted to read and it was the most random finding ever but yeah

the last time i read manga was like 5 years ago and it was kokou no hito

yea ito's work isn't about the charachters. i'm a huge fan but that's totally something lacking in his work. idk did you try tomie?  she's he's best characcter probbably.

If my memory is correct, the manga Dead Tube is pretty brutal.
