i know this sounds lame probably but this pic by ukk-instituutti is pretty good for figuring out how much excercise you need for health benefits. if you just wanna stay healthy id say follow this but if you wanna swim for like weight loss or something you probably need to do more than advised here

once a week already helps a lot when it comes to excersise

depends what your goals are, but if you really don't have any other goals than being more active then once a week is better than nothing, but of course like the more you do any kind of exercise that suits you the better
but if you want to gain strenght seriously you really need more than swimming

listen to your own body and what feels comfortable for you

I don't know if u exactly gain strenght with swimming, unless u swim for a very long time, But idk
health tho, I would say 2-3 times a week. 1 time a week does a little bit but if u wanna exercise I would say 2-3 times a week at least to get some effect

mm yeah
however i think this is the ideal for normal, mostly healthy people, right? and what i'm trying to say is that i'm rapakunnossa and also obese, so i wanna know if exercising for example once a week would help at least a little to get me closer to normal strength/shape/health? idk how to translate "kunto" but if you know finnish you know what i mean

i don't really mean strength but idk how to translate kunto ahdgs. like my starting point is super unhealthy and my goal is to get closer to being healthy

Uh, when I go swimming, I return home and feel like an animal that didn't eat in 3 months so I empty my whole fridge and that basically ruins all the "losing weight" I did.
But it's grate for back lol

swimming 3 times a week would cost 72 euros per month  why is everything so expensive

well my only advice is really just exercise as much you just want to. it's always better do something than do nothing. so don't go hard on yourself either. usually the more you do something the more you wanna do it, so probably if you get into swimming you wanna do that few times in a week anyway
swimming is really great exercise btw!

start once a week or so and go from there. putting too much pressure on yourself can make it into a chore that you start disliking
any liikunta is better than none at all (also swimming is fun n sports should be fun)

i swam a lot as a kid and was obese anyway
i don't think swimming can make anyone strong but it'd be good for your overall health
especially if you don't get any exercise at all

Cause Finland loves to be expensive as heck. I would go to my hobbies more often too, but too expensive. :')

Does your city offer those monthly kind of cards or just those with exact payment you can go 10 times? Does the place have those liikuntaranneke? Would that even be any cheaper?

oh if youre rapakunnossa just doing any excercise is good! you dont immediately have to do 2h of reipasta liikuntaa, if youre completely out of shape just doing a little bit at first is better than doing nothing. you can slowly try working your way up to what that image suggests.

im rapakunnossa and obese too, but if you find something fun (like swimming in this case) it starts getting easier. ive enjoyed hiihtäminen and using our old exercise bike recently and it has prevented me from just doing nothing. tsemppiä!
