So my brother came to me last Friday (27/2) and asked if I was looking for a job. Apparently his boss's wife's brother have a restaurant that needed people. (I have never worked in a restaurant). I told my brother that I was interested and got the dudes number.
Called him and he basically told me he is opening a NEW restaurant and need people for that and I could start working from the opening day. He told me to come there today to meet him and talk.
So I went there. I was 2 minutes early and got left in the "hallway" for 20 minutes with his puppy, while everyone had a photoshoot of the place. Then we talked for like 3 minutes when he basically told me that the job was mine. No interview, no nothing.
He asked if I have a car. I told him no but that I could take the bus. He asked where I live. I told him. Then he said "ok. great. I'll pick you up next week for your first day then. Call me on Monday". We shook hands and I left.
I have NO training. NO idea what the job is about. NO idea of how much I will work, times or my salary. Just that I will call this stranger on Monday and get a ride with him and his dog.
