For me, a person who studies lots, which is normally who is called smart, is more disciplined then smart. What I find smart is someone who is well informed and spoken. Someone who can clearly talk about their opinions.

very much agree with this. this belief ties back to classism in my eyes - "these poor/working class people are less intelligent than us, that is just the way it is, they do not value culture like we do"
while knowledge is very important, i think a lot of people (even well educated people) do not understand WHY knowledge is important - i get the impression that they do not truly think about the information they have learned, they just reiterate it
