It's nothing new, people went to beheadings and witch hangings for entertainment, but we pride ourselves to be more developed than that.
There is also a trend of threatening violence online too (death threats included).
I have seen it a lot on ES (wild, we can say this now), someone once suggested to me that they will stomp me to death because I told them death threats ain't cute.
Even with all the layers of irony and sarcasm the internet has to offer, I still don't think it's okay actually?
Maybe I'm a softie or whatever but someone enjoying real life violence is a big ass red flag for me.
