the landlord wasnt available today but hell come check it tomorrow and it only like, flash poured. like a fucktonne of water in half a minute and thn it stopped but it took every towel and bedsheet i own to soak up the water so that was fun

landlord is gonna replace the washer if the unnatural amount of water had broken it in any way yeehaw. he said hed replace anything thats damaged at all but i only had a pair of slippers on the floor and the washing machine thats his responibility to begin with but nice

hopefully it didnt leak DOWN bc theres a business on the first floor and its currently empty lmao

no idea
i sent some pics and they are old pipes that arent meant to carry anything anymore? which makes sense bc the two ends of the pipe i have in my bathroom are both not connected to naything (explains why it just poured onto the floor) but it should have been old water if it had just been sitting in the pipe for years, this was extremely hot, clear, non-smelling water

shitting and crying it happened a gain

a rly loud rushing noise and then litres of water on the floor and i used the last of my not-currently-in-use bedsheets to mop it up and i put buckets under both pipes so if they flood pver night theres nothing i can do and ARGH

ladnlord found out why it happened and hes calling a plumber on monday, somethings been connected wrong two floors up. theyre gonna fix it over the weekend. i guess they did something upstairs bc he said no more water should be coming out of my pipe even before we get it closed off entirely, which is technically true bc the water that came out this time was lukewarm so it didnt burn my toes when i stepped in it but its still a shittonne of water everywhere

currently very happy this is a brick building and that both the walls and floors are tiled in the bathroom on top of the brick
