has anime managed to normalize adults watching animated 16 year olds doing things they shouldnt in the west, its fucking weird, like ive tried watching anime because ive been recommended it by other people and ive just thought to myself "i really shouldnt be watching this" doesnt this - shouldnt this thought go through other peoples minds

its awful but its super normalized in places like japan and korea . i would know because i .. am korean

in the west its rightfully seen as ... weird and gross . because it is weird and gross, its just yknow . not openly talked abt in east asia

when it comes to anime there has to be a certain threshold of Anime Bullshit youre willing to put up with
whether that line is drawn at sexualized 16 year olds or extreme gore towards children is up to the viewer 

reccomending anime is always hard because like. there r lots of anime /i/ wont watch bc my Tolerable Anime Bullshit line is drawn at extreme sexualization of highschoolers
