To be fair, I argued it last year when she said it and I think she has learned more now. She was asking why I had so many lines around my hips/ass and I was like "irs stretchmarks." (that tbh i didn't get before i started yoga like strenght training doing its thing). "you get them when ur skin stretch and body grow. Its entirely normal." and like personally, i don't care about them like all the shit ppl say u nees to fix got me like no and i rarely have had the pressure of it put upon me. Most is coming from ads and posts on instagram and they are like an instant unfollow and block bc im not gonna get myself exposed enough to think its wrong in any sense. So luckily enough I've had enough distance to a lot of these things to build an understanding of them based on science and ads history in the first place so like.. Im really sad for ppl who grow up feeling bad about it and buying stuff for thwm to remove them (i just moisturise regularly). And my parental gen is more of less just underinformed on a lot of things which is very unfortunate when u r the kid having to base ur reality upon the info they give u
