moving in new apartment

so I'm finally moving out from a rlly toxic household and into my first rent apartment. I went to see it yesterday. its a one room apartment but the kitchen was secluded and it was decent, the room itself was pretty decent too....except for the bathroom. its small, like really small. the toilet is right next to the shower stand and the sink is right in front of the toilet and there is a tiny space where I can put a small washing machine..and when it comes to storage I thought I would buy one myself that I can put on the wall next to the sink/mirror. I'm also going to get a new shower head and maybe something fancy for the toilet seat
the floor in the bathroom is blue marble...its so ugly and depressing =( I thought I would buy floor tile stickers and stick them on if that works. I think that apartment is the best I can get rn and I should just do my best to make it nice and comfy to live in.

have you had issues with where you have lived before?? and do u have any tips on how I can make my bathroom nicer???

yeah, my first adults years has just been one big roommate/aparment horror story. now i live alone and i'm happier than ever. i mean i don't enjoy to live in small one room aparment, but this is decent enough and it's fine it's not like i'm gonna live here forever
but tip for everyone, please learn from my mistake: ALWAYS take pictures of aparment before moving in
so your shithead landlord can't make you pay from damages you haven't done

aaaa I have to do that!!! thank u for the tip although there weren't much damage really. it all looked pretty good except for the bathroom that literally almost gave me a panic attack being in it with the door closed because its so extremely small but I feel like if I decorate it and put brighter colours it will be easier to use? also its not like I will sleep in the bathroom so maybe its not that important how big it is. how small is your current apartment?
I have been living with my family. they're so toxic though so I really was willing to move in anywhere but stay here

this sounds a lot like my apartment! its very small, and was very run down when i moved in, so i painted all the walls and radiators and stuff, and put in click floor over the lenolium but i know thats not an option for everyone idk!

im lucky my bathroom is this rly cute green color but its also very small and quite run down, ive kinda solved it by putting in a bunch of cute plastic plants and a little bathroom rug on the floor! that way you can cover some of it if you dont like the color or the tiles are stained

here are my fake plants excuse the mess (i would post the rug but its even messier o the floor rn rip)

i understand, i was willingly to move literally anywhere to get away from my parents too. but funny thing my first aparmet was actually owned by my stepdad and i didn't pay anything to him for living there. so the feelings was mutual, he literally bought an aparment to get away from me lmaO. but i spend all of time with my ex back then, so i was there for like week of nights in total before moving to another town
my current aparment is around 30 sqm? i have separeted small kitchen and alcove so it's nice! like i've this big canvas between alcove and rest of this room, so it feel like small bedroom

but hey also if you living alone, you don't need to close bathroom door at all!

I think mine is smaller than your bathroom =( it feels almost impossible to decorate it because there is barely any space but the colours on your walls are so pretty! my walls are white tiles and the floor is this dark ugly blue colour... I will definitely try and put sticker tiles on it with another colour because I hate the blue. and the mirror you have has storage inside it? I will try and see if I can change the mirror into a storage one... that would be rlly smart!

Yeah, my old bathroom was even smaller so I feel u, and yeah it’s a mirror with storage inside! I had one like that in my old one too and it’s a rly good use of space so if you can get smth like that I’d defo reccomend it if you can find one you’re allow to put up :)  ikea has good storage options for below the sink too (they have some that are smaller than mine I think) but that might not work if the sink is in front of the toilet rip

in my old one I also put some glow in the dark stars and a little sticker mirror and stuff on the walls to decorate since there was nowhere to place anything, I think you can get ahold of those little plastic hook things with sticker backings that you can use to hang things up without damaging the walls too! Maybe you could get that and hand up some pictures or smth like that if you have some unused wall space too? Always a  risk of too much stuff making it feel smaller but it might be a nice trade off if it feels a little homelier
