like ur instinct might be to do something else to try to forget it but its better for ur brain to like express it and let it out
like i used to have a reccurring nightmare about my teeth falling out and i made a sculpture about it and i dont have that dream anymore since i made the sculpture about it
that's brilliant. for me sometimes i've noticed the more progress i make working through anxiety, the more i'm able to come up with new solutions to my nightmares. or even lucid dreaming can help, being able to recognize you are asleep and you can control your environment at your will.
