eating healthy on a budget?

So, long story short, ran away from my abusive household for idk how long. I have around 500 DKK left for food, I don't have a job yet but I'm actively looking. :))

I bought some groceries on sale yesterday and that should be enough for 2-3 days maybe? But if anyone has tips on how to like actually eat, while on a pretty tight budget, that'd be great. :))

Okay so those are my go to meals because they keep my stomach full for a long time

Oatmeal
Rice with veggies
Scrambled eggs
Pasta and Tomato Sauce
Toast with Peanut Butter

Also eat a slice of bread with everything

Tea is very cheap and tastes better than water

Beans and rice

Vegetarian is cheaper if you're not buying mock meats

See if your area has a community garden!

Dont be afraid of food banks

Dumpster dive if you are ballsy and have the means, I found some great stuff that way

Discount stuff, lots of stores have mark down bins

I'm not sure if Denmark has food banks? But there is a store called Wefood that like sells food for dirt cheap, it's like a second hand?? grocery store?

Bulk up on rice, noodles, pasta and canned foods. You can make a delicious soup based on instant ramen - just add some veggies and an egg (for example) and you have a nice, fulfilling meal
And you can pretty much stir fry anything tbh.
Oatmeal, rice porridge, risret (is there an english name for this?) and potato soup are also some of my go-to cheap meals.

If you have the app TooGoodToGo you can also get goodie bags real cheap! My local Lidl sells fruit and veggie bags for 29kr, and my local Q8 sells bags with bread and baked goods for 20kr - just to name a few examples. The bags I've gotten were really good and lasted me quite long, but it depends on the store of course. You can read some reviews on the goodie bags from the different stores in the app.
Stores usually also mark down bread and baked goods in the evening, so I recommend shopping as close to closing time as possible.

Also a piece of advice (I hope you don't take this the wrong way) but if you really struggle with money, you could try collecting bottles for pant. No shame, I've done this before (broke uni student things) and depending on where you live, you can actually find a decent amount of bottles. Plus you're doing something nice for the environment c:

To not repeat everyones great advice, you can make an inexpensive meal to last you for a few days with beans from a can, some hot dogs (or sausages) and a bit of tomato sauce look up tavce gravce. A lot of pasta meals are really cheap and easy to make. Carbonara, pasta pomodoro etc. Risottos too.
Another tip if you have an oven, bread is pretty expensive where I live and it's much cheaper to make it yourself. Although I wouldn't recommend that if you're living alone because it will go stale quickly. But for the future it might be useful
If all else fails look into soup kitchens and foodbanks near your area.

I'm sure you could do a search to see

Idk if it's common practice in Denmark but in America churches often provide free food to those in need. Ask around

Also really reccomend budgebytes.com I used it a lot when I was living on 15,000 a year and bordering the poverty level

Also def go there, i used to shop at a place like that, still would if I had one in my area. It was basically just dinned cans and torn boxes of perfectly good food for a steal
