No but for real

I have to cut back a lot to quickly get back on track financially in the next months

how much do you guys spend monthly on groceries?
is a limit of 200€ in general realistic?

Any tips?

200€ definitely seems realistic if you live alone. My biggest tip is to plan your meals and only do one big shopping trip a week instead of doing 3-4 smaller trips. That way you won't be able to pick up things you don't really need in passing.

My bf and I usually shop for 2 meals/week as well as our usual breakfast items, depending on what we eat and if we need additional household items we'll spend between 50-80€/week. Sometimes more, sometimes less. But if you aim to cook cheaper big meals like stews or soups it'll be relatively easy to get the total down.

Also you have the obvious, cut back on fast food/coffee/snacks and stuff like that

200€ is more than enough for one person.

I think I spend around 20€ per week.

I live alone and I usually spend 30€ for groceries weekly.
But one trip is the best, cause I tend to buy stuff I don't need if I go there often. Also meal planning is great, doesn't work for me, cause I want to make food I'm in a mood for, lol.
But one great way is to make more food at one time, like make enough food for few more days.

Also hunt some deals! If there is good deal on some product, spend a bit more that week and next week you don't have to worry or find some stuff that is on discount, buy some extra and put it in freezer so you can use it later.

Also only buy things you know you will actually use/eat, I know many who just throws away food, cause they didn't end up using it.

i've started to try and live more affordable as well without eating less healthy foods. it's tricky but a good thing to do is to buy frozen vegetables if you have any that u don't mind eating! for me that would be peas, spinach etc. also buying frozen things in bulk!

the thing that has saved me the most money thus far is just, to make sure i have energy drinks at home to take to school, so i don't end up buying it at school. and also to bring a lunch box instead of buying a sandwich at lunch
