Years ago, the most predominant trolls were active for years until they were finally banished from the website. Then years turned into months, months turned into weeks, weeks turned into days and days turned into hours.
These days trolls are banned from the website within a ridiculous short amount of time.
Whatever you think of the trolls, you must admit that VP is an even bigger graveyard than it already is without them.
VP is on a steady decline. The website is filled with the same old members with the same personalities. You instantly know what to expect from each user once you get to know them. This in turn makes the community incredibly boring and uninteresting with it's current limitations.
Who is to say who is a troll and who isn't? There has been new users who have been banned because of ban-evasion without evidence to support that claim. Completely innocent people who just happened to be accused for having an alternative account by the loyal and boot-licking community are instantly banished. That is a disgrace!
My suggestion is that we remove more or less every forum-rule.
It's understandable to have some commonsense rules like; no doxing, no threats of physical violence, no CP or other illegal content. But should we really have rules that say "no bullying, no discrimination, no fighting, no trolling (however you define that) in the context in which is given in the rules-section?
I SAY, LESS CENSORSHIP AND MORE FUN FOR EVERYONE! ARE YOU WITH ME?
