Am I being paranoid?

Long story short, I'm an activist at an autonomous squat, we have very few ground rules which are as follows: No sexism, no racism, no violence, no homophobia and no hard drugs.

A few months back this group contacted us regarding hosting a techno event, we said yes seeing as we've been talking about having shows that aren't just hardcore punk and etc.
I was the contact person to this group, they've been super nice and generally welcoming. HOWEVER, they left out the No hard drugs rule, so I added it to their Facebook event, we invited them to a meeting bc we had a lot of questions regarding why they left out that specific rule, but had no issue in posting the other ones.

They apologised and we moved on, whatever. Now they've added a photo with their "rules" to the event which is generally nice and considerate stuff, however, they left out No hard drugs AGAIN!

I think this is super fucking suspicious, it seems fishy and it feels like they're leaving the rule out on purpose. I don't feel comfortable hosting this event anymore.

1. It's a techno event, and while I was actually planning a techno party before they came along, I also recognise that it's going to be difficult to keep drugs out of the techno scene.
2. They keep leaving out our ground rules, specifically probably the most crucial one in this scenario.
3. They wanted their own door team instead of having actual house activists be at the door, i.e making sure people aren't on drugs, which is also kind of suspicious seeing as they keep leaving out the rules.

Those were your ground rules set ahead of time that they have to comply with. If they can't honor this then they should find another place. Seems Hella suspicious to me. I'd put my foot down about it. Perhaps talk with your team and see what they say about the matter so you aren't alone in whatever decision you make.

I made a post in our private facebook group, and people agree that it's suspicious. We have a meeting in a few hours where I'll voice it, too.

It's this weekend also, so It's kind of urgent that we figure this shit out.
URGH! I don't understand why it's so difficult for them to respect the very few rules we have..

yeah no lmaoo having dabbled w the scene myself id say f no, esp when they're continously leaving it out lmao. N that whole scene + hard drugs go hand in hand from what ive expierenced at least..,.,. even if you get them to post it as a rule chances are at least a portion of attendees aren't gonna respect it anyways,, I wouldn't go along w it if it was me but if u still think it could work well n everything it might b worth talking it over idk, I wouldn't bother

Right?

I'm painfully aware that people WILL do drugs at the event, even outside of techno events we're currently struggling SO hard with teenagers coming here and doing drugs.
What we can do is have a solid door team and a safety crew, which we have, I know we can't prevent it, but we can try and make sure it won't be everyone doing it.

But yeah, I went to Ved Siden af for the first time last month I think, everyone was doing hard drugs around me like it was nothing. Only a fool would deny that a large number of techno-lovers also love drugs.
