At least I usually use a very dark blue so it looks black but it washes out more, cus the parts I colored with actual black last summer is still pitch black but the parts I only colored with fhe dark blue black faded into dark brown/purplish at least so that makes me hopeful that if I color my hair with it again it might not be the worst thing in the world, but then again it probably will
