i hate how cheap ikea is

makes it really rough to buy plates, that are actually cheap in general, but cost the same per plate and glass as a whole ikea set does together

but they were really cute so i did it. i bought two glasses and two plates in the same colour, and ill go back and buy some more and maybe the bowls at a later date and if they run out of the colour i went with (blue) they also had them in green and orange so i think it would also be cute to have in a few different colours. or i can order the pieces online too wherever they have them stocked but im not thrilled at the thought of shipping glass and then potentially carrying it from the post office and home without dropping it. i need to get some kind of basket system for my scooter. maybe i can strap my picnic basket on it. or on the back of my bike

i think they were cute, the colour is a lot nicer irl ofc bc its not against a white backdrop

i rly like the orange "amber" ones too but my apartment is like, light wood and white and most of my furniture and deco is like, various wood shades, white, green with some black and grey. blue felt like a nice swap + my bf likes blue and i know he ultimately likely does not care what colour the plates and the matching cups are, it felt nice to have at least one blue thing in a space he spends a lot of time in

rant over whats up how do u feel about kitchen and tableware prices and matching sets

If you have to bike w it, i suggest bringing a backpack to carry it in if u can. Its gonna take much less of the shaking on ur back than if it is attached to a bike etc.

Hah, I literally biked w eggs yesterday and had to be like a) put in basket or b) put in rucksack and knowing how hard just my keys rattle in the basked where I bike, deciding basket was a bad idea.

My experience with bitz plates are, that they generally keep pretty for quite a long time and doesn't become as ugly as Ikea plates as fast. We're on our third year of bite plates, and they still look pretty, even after they've become quite controversial to own because of bitz.

Just some plagiarism stuff that went to court (bitz lost) but all of the affected products have been pulled from stores, so dw. People just dislike him after that, because plagiarism and design theft is bad.
