Is it possible to make a tshirt made out of cotton, spandex and polyester (I don't know the exact percentages) stiffer by washing it on a high temperature or something? Or putting in the dryer? I don't care if it shrinks, but its justtttt too cheap feeling for me lol, like that super soft material u get from wish or whatever (not as plasticky tho, just too stretchy and soft), and I like my tshirts to be like STIFF

Mby nesta idk, or some sewing ppl

I saw the like fibers in the spandex will become broken by heat (so like if u put it in the dryer), but I don't know if that will make it stiffer or just weirdly shaped but still too soft or what

I could mby just try since it was cheap anyway, but I still don't want to ruin it completely lol

most of the time this isn't an option with a blend because all materials react to heat in a different way, which could make it get wrinkly

Wrinkly like when you overstretch something and it gets those weird permanent wrinkles or

yeah like because its made out of different materials. If it's a woven it could be that the warp and the weft are made of 2 different fabrics, then one of the fibers shrinks, the other does not = wrinkles

Ouff hate that, happened to one of my jeans once (magically never happened to the 5 others I have of the exact same model tho even tho I put them  in the dryer too every time I wash them lol). Hmmmm those wrinkles are ugly but I feel like I can't wear it like this so I might as well try, I think it was like 8€ so not much money lost either way

i swear i saw someone on my IG feed use some kind of stiffener once when sewing a costume, but i believe it wasn't meant to last more than 1 wash

Aren't u gonna ruin the spandex if u wash it too warm like its gonna make it look ugly af. Tbh just get a new one in 100%(organic) cotton bc the plastic feel is the worst, low quality worser. U can't rly salvage it from being a blend. Better to just find some other uses for it.

Or idk like spray it w that stuff ppl use for bunader to stiffen the linen blouse like idk wild suggestion

Spraying myself in hairspray lol that would b epic

but yeah, I gugure im just gonna wear it like this or it will probbaly get broken, but I can at least wash it once and dry it on a rack and see if it changes at all before putting it in the dryer. I feel like just washing stuff once can sometimes stiffen it more, no matter what fabric it is uknow. Can't find annew one cus its from aliexpress lol, should have checked the fabric before ordering tho. The other cheap shirts I have from there are totally fine and I think 100% cotton, so I didn't think much of it when ordering

yeh thats all i could find too. But the one i saw was meant more to stiffen up a really delicate fabric to make it easier for sewing, it was applied kind of like paint in a tub of water or washing machine

Yes I just love cheap clothes too much. And the fact that aliexpress suually has movie and tv series merch thats nowhere to be found elsewhere. Never ordered from wish tho cus that quality seems way worse usually weirdly. The ones I've gotten before tho has lasted me for years tho and I still own them cus they are the only cotton type, but polyster spandex stuff might last shorter since its easier to fuck up, even if theres some cotton in there
