you described it perfectly like being in charge of yourself is the best way to feel, and when i used to get my hair done as well no one ever listened and i ended up feeling bad about it but now i can do it however i want it's really refreshing

and especially with my highlights, like because i've never paid the money to go to an actual blonde specialist, i've just never been happy with my hair after getting it done at a salon, and honestly i think i do a pretty decent job in my bathroom ahah

yaa it's definitely time consuming doing it yourself but in the end it feels worth it
