Okay, so, lately I've been getting a bit more into make-up (because I used to collect palettes and never use them because I'm stupid like that) and found that I often struggle with looks I like.

I know, that the technique used and end-result will vary a lot depending on the shape of your eyes and such. But I honestly feel like I can't find anything that's kind of relating to my eyes in helping me learn fresh instead of someone utterly sleep deprived or just someone with a black eye.

Okay, so, big question:

Is there a secret to using eye shadow on your lower lid if you have kind of (but maybe not) deep set eyes and wear glasses, which make your eyes look even more in the shadows? Or should I just give up and only ever use bright shimmers in the hope it looks good?

In case you need to see my eyes:

No make-up

Everyday make-up (which on the pictures honestly looks like just mascara, I can't take better pictures of it)

My issue is that no amount of concealer will ever help in make my undereyes look healthy. I will always keep kind of a purple shadow and visible veins because of my thin skin. And every time I use eye-shadow on the lower lid more than in the picture (where it's just a small line on the outer third), I just look like I have very swollen undereyes.

Anyone any tips? Because honestly, I'm kind of at a loss. Can't use red, or it looks like an infection, can't use blues or purples or it looks like someone hit me and can't use browns or I look like I didn't sleep for 3 days.

idk much about make up and when i did wear make up for a bit i was going for the eye infection red look on purpose so i cannot help but i wanted to say that i like ur glasses

actually now that i think about it , for colors maybe warmer browns + peachy pinks? i feel like those tend to be the esiest to work with, what tone are the browns that make you look sleeby?

thank you :d believe it or not, but after 18 years of wearing glasses, these are the first I picked that actually flatter my face somewhat.

yeah, warm browns and peaches work, but it's kind of difficult to find some that mix well with the rest of the face. Like I have rosacea so I have very red/purple spots in my face that I either need to completely slather in make-up or incorporate somehow if I don't want to look very mismatched. Though I think most of the colours I have and use fall under that category.

This is the palette I use the most, I'd say it's mostly coffee colourd

I usually only use the two in the middle top row, because the last one often just is too dark I feel? and even the one I use a lot (number 3) makes my eyes look really tired if I use it on my lower eyelid

(I kinda wish I wouldn't associate eye infections with red eyes, because I feel like it's a great colour and would really help bringing out the little green I have in my eyes, but I just don't feel confident wearing it)
