On HBO Max there's a show called "Kung Fu", it's a pretty cool mystery series. The first episode will pretty much tell you if you'll like it. And season 2 recently came out.

"Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" on Disney+ if you're into fantasy love stories.

"Legend of Zhen Huan", a Chinese historical drama on Youtube. AKA "Empresses in the Palace" but the first title will let you find it subbed on Youtube. A lot of romance and court intrigue in this show, and it's visually just stunning.

Have you read the bookseries? The golden compass? It's that and its actually done nice compared to the movie, and it might be a make or break for you but i rly like that they've comitted to making the mc, who's a kid, actually have a pov and mannerism that feels her age. 

It's about metaverses, dark matter, war between worlds and institutions, prophecies, witches, magical animals, discovery. I especially love the dark matter part. It's a slow burn show tho. It totally needs to grow on you ans get time to expand to get rly nice.
