Foundation issue help

Is there any way to like quickly fix the skin on my nose so the foundation doesn't look scaly, like my nose isn't dry and I can't see the scaliness with bare skin, but with foundation on it looks very yucky like dry skin or smth I don't know

I had that issue more before, then I started exfoliating so I got rid of that problem, but apparantly today it decided to come back n it looks bad lol

also sometimes I have an issue with the skin on my nose being too smooth so the foundation doesn't want to stick, like it just slides off kind of idk how to explain it. Never had that issue anywhere else on my face, but my nose skin is just weird I guess. How do I fix that, a primer doesn't seem to help, sometimes it just makes it worse even if I use the tiniest amount of primer ever, so idk. Usually I just use a moistruizer that dries kind of tacky, that helps a little bit but ??

Tapping it on instead of rubbing helps a bit with the too smooth skin issue, and then letting it dry before putting powder on, but sometimes its just like it doesn't want to stick no matter what I do, or it sticks ONLY in the big pores on the side of my nose so it just looks extra horrible lol

I think my rosacea doesn't help, cus when im having a rosacea flare on my nose, the skin gets more oily and puffy, and the pores look larger, and my nose goes bright red so I need more coverage obv but it just looks like shit, and I get a purple nose and I can see the purple shine through the foundation so my nose looks grey ?? Lol

does this happen no matter what foundation you use, or could the foundation be the issue?

Idk I only have two, the ordinary serum foundation and coverage foundation, if I have the dry flaky skin issue then the serum version works better, I assume because the consistency is a lot runnier than the coverage one, so that it doesn't get so stuck in the skin flakes if that makes sense lol, but for the too much slip issue on my nose then both work just as bad

mby I should find a new foundation but I don't want to cus I don't want to struggle with finding the right shade etc uknow, and the ordinary one is dirt cheap, while if I miss with the shade on any other foundation they r usually a lot more expensive so I cry

Ok I just took off the foundation on my nose for the second time and put a bit of the tacky moistruizer on there, and if it doesn't work now I will just give up on wearing makeup to work today fr, its just inconvenient since I have shaved off eyebrows so it looks kind of stupid and also I've been rubbing my nose too much now so its super red but lol,,,,

i have the same issue but nowadays i only put foundation on places i really need it at so ig kinda solved but not really. but niacinamide helped me to clear out the redness etc from my face and i always use a moisturizer under my makeup bc i feel like it makes it look better

Oh lol I got the primer to work now apparantly 🤔 its actually sticking my foundation to my face and nose this time, instead of pilling off my nose nd cheeks
