Some people may not feel that way about their corpse and plan accordingly. Not everyone is so like clinical about it, rituals can bring comfort and they are meaningful to a lot of people.

Yeah it is problematic but like not every mortician does this? People in my country don't do the whole embalming, metal casket,... stuff anyway and I don't see how it is relevant when it's something you can decide. 
You can be a greedy fucker in every service based job, that's not unique to morticians.

I have no idea where they do such things in the mainstream culture of Norway it's mostly just placing the dead body in a wooden casket and that's it
