so ive signed up for a 2 year vocational administration course, which starts in september, In the long run i think this will be good because i'm probably guaranteed a job later with it. but I'll have to do less hours at my current job to be able to do it, and im still trying to get into vet tech school and if i get in to that next year im dropping the administration course and then it was pointless and i might as well have earned more money.

also gonna lose so much free time because adm course is like 100% and im not gonna work less than 50% bc im not taking out loans/bidrag for it since i want that for vet tech program...

but then im also like, do i even want to become a vet tech or was that just something i clung to when i was working in daycare cause it was the only thing i could think of that i maybe wanted to do? And do i just want to go back to studying because i miss studying and the social aspects of it n stuff??? i dont know...

Maybe i should just give up all of it n focus on art/freelancing... Ik i joke about it in Hi thread but if I had the time for it i could probably make it work,,, i just dont want to file my own taxes

mm thats another thing with going back to like uni, i dropped out for a reason i'm not even sure i can do it this time lol

i think living life and just doing fun n interesting tuff is the way to go tbh!! I wish i could just take random uni courses without society making me feel like im wasting my time not getting a degree

i mean honestly i wud love studying! but exclusively the fun and interesting stuff that scratches my monkey brain and it kinda sucks ass that im physically repulsed by boredom because knowing stuff sure would be cool
the school environment just ruins all of that completely

good luck i think u can stick with it. take a break if it drives u insane. having a break isnt giving up or wasting time

Yes! i love listening the lectures and stuff, the rest just makes me so unmotivated which sucks! i think most people njoy learning in some way tbh but school only works for some people and it's bluh sad

Idk if there are and options for work placement sort of things but i have been thinking i probably should try and volonteer at the local shelter or smth to see if i enjoy that? but it's like,,, i dont really have the time or energy sadly sad

aah noo maybe youll live somewhere somday where u can work as fossil preparator, that sound really cool thouh i dont know entierly what it is,,, i just know fossils are rad haha
n yeah! grocery store sounds kinda stressful to me but i think at least in some chains and stuff theyre paid okay and theres a lot of opportunity for overtime n weekend shifts for extra money so one can work less (+ chairs nice ripperony)

maybe u could volunteer just for a few hours on ur day off if u have any with studying too now

i would have to move out of wales i think cries, it's the ppl who clean up the fossils like scraping the brushing all the dirt n stone off them carefully and making moulds of them for museums !!! u don't need a degree or anything for it just experience and a steady hand ! i think the big ones r v stressful the other day i went to tesco for like the first time in years n i was like bruh why is there so much going on, there's a lidl near me that is v small n seems nice, so maybe i could work there someday mlem

im rly sad i didnt volunteer when i had more time tbh !! but i was too shy to reach out n ask,, now i think i gotta like, see how much free time i have next fall first,,, but i should probably do it! its a year til i can apply for vet tech again anyways

oh no lame thats a big move :/ but it does ound very cool to clean fossils >: 0 maybe you could pick it up as a hobby though, even if you dont work with it! but idk if its hard or easy to find fossils in wales? theres a lot of shoreline at least

hahaha yeah probably highly dependant on where ur working, i sometimes go to the stores close to where i work n its always dead compared to those closer to the city center so it seems pretty chill!
