Don't start name of the wind unless you want to be stuck in a waiting hell like game of thrones, because the series is unfinished with book 2 coming out over ten years ago.

Yeach, but if you've followed Rothfuss just a little you'll also know, that he promised to release the prologue AND a chapter, because he raised a lot of money for a charity he rents space to, and those were stretch goals. He also said the chapter (which hasn't been released) would be out in February the latest, which was half a year ago.

I would honestly not put my hopes up for it yet, and wait with the story if possible. Book two should end cliffhangerish.

It doesn't really worry me. I prefer waiting actually. It give you time to digest and revel in the story.

Ok. Now I gotta choose what to read next. I guess I'll try the first chapters of some of them and see which I feel the strongest about.

That's of course more than fair. If you're getting a reading buddy it might be worth knowing for them as well though. Some people hate waiting.

I stopped the series after book 1, because it isn't finished, but it is really beautifully written. I consumed 100 pages the first day I read it.
