How do u start doing new stuff

I find it so embarrassing, like new makeup stuff, new clothes (esp in a different style than my usual clothing), stuff like that ?? W the makeup stuff its fine now, most ppl react more if im not wearing makeup than if I am wearing makeup nowadays, even tho its semi heavy, but when I first started it was embarrassing yeah lol.

Same w clothing, I wear more feminine clothing now sometimes instead of like ,,, sweatpants and big band t-shirts every day (esp if im going out/wearing semi elaborate makeup tho) but it was embarrassing to start with cus most ppl r like wtf r u wearing, stuff like that, makes sense since I've always been a girl that looks like a boy I guess so lol.

I wanna start wearing false eyelashes out sometime now, but it feels so embarrassing idk what to do 😭 also I get so paranoid they will look weird or smth, or get loose, so I have to check them every 5 minutes hello, and take videos from all angles and with eyes closed etc to make sure it looks ok but idfk

Fake it until it feels natural. It's weird because it probably doesn't feel like you in the beginning, but people get used to seeing themselves in new, stuff all the time. Just give it a few tries. Wear it at home at first or something before you wear it among people, if that might help you. Learn how to use and solve potential issues and such to lower the stress of it.

Yeahh I usually try stuff at first at home, and im fine going out w new stuff to the store for example, just embarrassing to meet my friends like that cus they know me, but random ppl at the store don't know me so it doesn't look unusual to them I guess

idk just do it.. 😭 if U feel comfortable in it, just start wearing what u want and people around u will probably get used to it
i know what it's like.. but for some reason i got a bit more confident over the years, i still have anxiety tho but if i feel hot in an outfit, i will wear it👹
but yea, when it comes to makeup i'm not as confident hh.. sometimes i am, but i can't go out wearing the looks i post on instagram😭 some yes, but most of them no.. i would love to tho

when u start doing new stuff it will always feel scary at first! u r likely to make mistakes here and there but u will learn from them as time goes. u can look up makeup vids for tips but i'd say don't spend money on expensive stuff (which the makeup pros usually do) until u r sure u will use them. start with cheaper stuff and progress if u like it!

i think ppl also carry some of their products in their bags (lipstick, mascara, smol mirror) so they can fix their look on the go, bc they will wear out after hours

unless ur friends turn out to b assholes they will like u regardless of what u wear! mby even think u look cuter...

they also say the more confident u act the less ppl will pay attention to small "mistakes"

Yes they do think I look cuter now than I did before (now that im more girly I guess lol) but also every time I do smth "new" they r like wtf 😂 but then they get used to it I guess. But I've done the makeup thing gradually so that wasn't like a big shock, but I wanna start wearing lashes, liek this, ignore the rest of the makeup cus I was halfwau drunk whilst doing it and I tried new products but

Honestly I don't like big eyeliner looks etc without lashes anymore, but also I feel stupid wearing them, like 90% of me is fake now lol

u get used to eyelashes tbh, but it can be easier to start with smaller light ones n just getting used to like, feeling if theyre off or not. i stopped feeling weird about lashes completely after i swapped glue and they survived a fuckin, windstorm directly in my face for half an hour. but just make sure ur carrying whatever ud need to fix the lashes if they do come lose so u at least know u have that in case. weirdly enough it felt less anxiety inducing to have gigantic eyeliner when i started wearing large lashes bc if they were a bit off i knew no one would really see it against all the eyeliner

Yeah u wouldn't rlly see the outer corner lookin weird if im wearing big eyeliner, but u would see easily if the inner corner comes loose because I only do eyeliner to about the middle of my eye lol

yeah, the biggest part is just not getting pulled down by the fact that people comment (no matter what you do or change, people will comment on it, no matter if it's a good change or a bad one - which ultimately is up to you and not them)
like, honestly, the biggest thing is just ignoring other people commenting about changes (many thin they are doing you a service by saying something, but in the end, 99% of the time it's unwanted commentry no one asked for)
once you manage to realise that their opinion doesn't truly matter, the weird feeling will stop

relatable, i have always been tomboy(ish) and now i like more feminine clothing, but i still absolute don't want to wear to skirt/dress infront of my family just because they would make comments about that
