how do you cope with failing exams? does it ever start to feel less shittier?

if you know you aren't ready for an exam, will you take it anyways with the possibility you MAy pass or will you just not go and wait for the next exam period when you're better prepared for it ?

I think it's always better to go and at least write something down than not going at all and completely failing the exam

I never failed an exam because with BA courses getting a B is basically failing. It still feels shitty.

It's annoying to have wasted so much energy and time.

I never failed an exam but I failed an assignment once and I got very disheartened and then I dropped out

Anyways always write it no matter if you think you’ll fail or not, it’s always better to have more tries because that’s more possibilities to pass, there’s nothing saying you’ll be prepared for the retake!

I have pretty good grades so far and I've only failed one exam over a silly mistake. but the thought of traveling to my uni in a stupid bus for an hour and  a half and showing up just to fail some essay writing is just. exhausting.

feels like a waste of money and/or resources, if i decide to drive and not go by bus. summer exams just suck

!!!

At my uni mostly the teachers are kinda lazy with the retakes and some questions are repeated, so I always go, even if i know im not gonna pass

I was depressed for a year then I found a job haha, I think I needed a break from studying, it wasn’t just that one assignment it just kind of marked the start of it

I knoww and I'm trying to convince myself into thinking that full heartedly but. I'd just feel like a loser

I was a huge overachiever when it came to grades pre-uni and uni is doing its hardest to humble me : D

I get that completely !! quitting uni feels like a big deal but 1) not everyone is built for studying in this shitty system and 2) you can always give it another try, it's never late to sign up for courses !
so those give me hope, should i ever decide that this path isn't the right one for me

I failed my first law exam and it felt pretty shitty at first but I did my best at the time so I just made sure to study harder for the re-exam. I always go to the exam even if I feel like I will definitely fail, sometimes you still do enough to pass

I honestly think it feels way shittier to get a bad grade than to fail. Failing at least gives me the chance to retry, and my future employer won't care whether I passed in may or July, but will absolutely care about the grade.

We get 3 tries, and if I've not felt ready, or felt I could get the grade I wanted, I usually just choose to go for the re exam a month or two later.

I haven't failed an exam
I should have failed at least one, but I got a D. Basically I think you should show up anyway because maybe you manage to wing it to a passing grade if passing is fine. I genuinely believe failing is better than getting below C.

I didn't really have any exams in my uni program only project presentations and assignments but if I failed one of those I knew I could always pass later. But yeah it's better to fix it quickly so it doesn't pile up.
