my cat was waiting outside for me to let him in this morning, like he always do when hes been out all night. but when i opened the door i saw he was limping. breaks my heart completely. i guess it is inevitable when you have an outdoor cat, plus his age of 14. im just "glad" its his front paw that he might have hit or a thorn or something and not his hindlegs getting worse. i put a cozy blanket on the floor for him to lay on and im gonna spend most of my day in the kitchen here with him, watching how he is doing

tell me about your pet(s)? whats their name, whats a favorite memory with them, what do they like eating, how did they end up as your pet. show pics too. i need a bit of cheering up

i hope his lil paw ends up being alright!

my kitty is an indoors kitty (percy i talk about him a lot lol), idk im too afraid to let him be an outdoors cat, and hes a bit too afraid of it too, though he likes to escape from my deck in the early mornings sometimes when there are no people out, but he never ventures far, just sniffing around the bushes. he's almost 3, but still very baby. He likes just sitting outsde and starting at the neighbor cat nervously

whats ur little old mans name?

ohh i remember you talking about percy before! hes adorable
i live on the country with nature all around so it just makes sense to have outdoor cats here, but if i lived closer to the city i would be more afraid of it too, i get it

also his name is stribe, meaning stripe because he has stripes, very creative yes

Yeah i live in the city with some gnarly roads not that far from where i live even if the immidiate area is mostly just parks, id feel better letting him out if i was on the country side as well. but im very happy i have my little deck/porch thing so he still gets to be outside and look at the birds n stuff!

haha awe but it's cute, and very classic. and it fits him quite well i think. He's a very handsome kitty

I hope he's alright sad He might just have hit it on something.

I have a dog.

She's what people call a "corona puppy" because we got her during COVID, but it wasn't because of COVID we got her, but because our landlord finally started allowing pets (maybe because they had trouble renting out apartments due to covid lmao) so we spent a year looking for a puppy. I started updating the Japanese Spitz Facebook daily to find puppies, because all wait lists were full. Someone finally wrote and said "our dog just got puppies" and we wrote within the hour where she had announced it, and got the last of 6 puppies (and she had a waitlist of 34 families when we picked her up)

Her favourite forbidden snacks are body lotion and hand cream, and we can't open any of them without hearing the TAP TAP TAP on the floor as she runs to us to get a taste. She also loves chicken, which is more normal, and really enjoys all kind of fish.

Idk what my favourite memory with her is, but when we had had her for a few months she had gotten used to our routine, so one night when we were up late playing board games (later than usual) she came over to the table looked up at us and said a small "woof", and when we stood up to see what she wanted she went into the bedroom, looked up at the bed and said "woof" again. We put her in the bed and she just laid down and fell asleep. I don't think she's asked us to put her to bed or decided to sleep before us since then, and I just found it really funny when it happened.

She really is! We sometimes talk about her model genes, because she's just so friend shaped.
