Can we discuss the series finale?
How Murphy ended up becoming the terrible person Josh kept portraying her as due to his own hurt? He fucked so much w her because he was mad she broke up with him while he was going blind, like she already was. also i'm not over that he forced her to kiss him at that arcade a few episodes ago, he literally looked like he was losing his mind but in the series finale, he deliberately uses the "loss of his sanity" to fake an excuse to not make her murder him. I actually did not expect her to go through with it. But he's been sooo annoying like stalkery, hatefilled for several seasons now. but it also makes sense in a way, at least they why, since since she got blind her only motivations to stay alive had been a) finding out who killed her friend, and b) finding out who made the call that got her husband killed.
i'm also a bit like... How long Felix has been willing to stick up with her knowing she'll never love him like he loves her, and still she's literally his only friend and they just... drive away together in the end? like to where?
i need someone to write fanfics for the ending here to fill the gaps. Where are they going? (Canada again maybe? but Jess is already in Canada and that might fuck up for here, I guess. I'm sorta imagining them going on some Europe vacation or something, just chilling out. )
it was sorta obvious that this wasn't meant as the series finale. I'm sad they canceled this show. It has been so good.
and like s 1-2 feels so different from 3-4?
like 1-2 when she solves the murder of her only friend, and when Jess runs away from it all, and is like "she doesn't want to be assosiated with it anymore because Murphy, her bff, was ruining her life as well" it's like all normalicy left the chat. jess was def. the character keeping murphy together and out of the worst shit and she was just dealt such a bad hand from murphy as well.
ALSO MY UTTER DISTATES FOR DEAN. his daughter was sweet tho, but omg there are so many plots here where things just went downwards so fast. like how many murder and drug investigations did she get herself and her friends into?
this show was so fucked up from the start w murphys self-destructive vibes being one of her main features and its def one of the reasons i like it
also 3 important characters were blind or going blind, incl the main characters which def is a new experience on-screen!
