no it hasn't stopped burnout cycles but it's helped with the anxiety that makes burnout worse.
I will say, I take multiple meds for ADHD symptoms (vyvanse, wellbutrin xl, and trazodone to sleep)
and THE MOST HELPFUL THING I've taken for my ADHD, that has given me the most relief from cycles of burnout (even though they still happen) has been a combined birth control that only gives you a period once every 3 months, hormonal cycles are BRUTAL for folks who have ADHD.
oh that's interesting
i have a hard time of gaging that bcs of horrible sense of time and i cant seem to notice slow changes (unless theyre super obvious). ive been kinda scared to try birth control cuz i dont wanna risk bleeding for six months straight or worse cramps than i already got
If you're bleeding and in pain like that, you call the doc and they'll either stop the bc or help you choose another one based on the symptoms.
and
46% of women with ADHD have PMDD, which for me looked a lot like meltdowns, burnout, emotional outbursts, it literally got me fired from jobs.
no one knows your body as well as you do, but I just like to share this because until they put me on Seasonale, my ADHD meds were barely useful.
i definitely get sleep issues pre menstruation but nothing to the levels of a disorder (luckily)
