I buy whatever I need whenever i need it. I just see it as a bonus if its cheaper of course!
But I would never go "this store has a lot of deals today, let me check it out... or now on black friday i need to find something!" I think that might only encourage buying things you dont really need/want and you only see the oppertunity in buying it now that it's on "sale" ^^
It's a marketing tactic too of course. If you see a pair of shoes for 100 dollars, you might not be interested in them. But if you see that the orignal price was 200 dollars (and the shoes are 50% off and only cost 100 dollars) you suddently become interested in them even though its the same shoes, same price.... I don't fall for none of that
