My boyfriend and me are thinking about moving in together, but he says if we do I have to sleep in the same bed every single night and he can't make an exception.
I have tried to offer solutions.
He says he doesn't want to wake up in the morning and not be able to cuddle. I said he can come into my bed then once he woke up.
He said he doesn't want to not have any sex or not cuddle. I said we can have that and then I go to my own bed afterwards.
The reason I want to be able to sleep in my own bed is I get very bad flatulence sometimes to a point where it's not that I have to fart once, but like 20 times in a row and it's actually smelly and I'm not comfortable sleeping in the same bed with someone when that happens. He's told me stuff like I should just leave the room for a minute or stick my butt out but honestly that isn't practical. I can't constantly leave the room or do that, how am I meant to relax and sleep?
He just doesn't understand it and I'm like what the hellNot gonna move in with you if you insist on it for stupid reasons

Sounds like the best solution is to wait. Moving in together should have many perks and bring you two closer to each other and make it easier to be with each other and do fun things together. But if the only reason why he really wants to move together is just to be able to sleep in the same bed as you even though you have expressed that you don't feel like sleeping in the same bed, then it sounds like the best thing would just be to hold off on any plans involving moving in together until he either understands why you feel the way you feel and accepts that you sleep in separate beds, or until you feel comfortable enough to sleep in the same bed as him, although it seems like it's all really depending on him seeing as he wanted you to leave the room when having bad flatulence instead of letting you stay in bed.

Hope you guys figure it out, but I wouldn't rush if I were you if the complications are already starting.

"stick my butt out" 💀

it's a reasonable demand and he should grow up
