I am just gonna follow the pattern and yarn suggestions as close as I can since it seems like norwegian yarn too

Cables are honestly pretty simple once you realise what the chart is telling you to do, you're literally just braiding your stitches pretty much. The only thing I'd be worried about with a pattern like that is that it's a sweater so it takes a while so you might get bored halfway through, but I feel like you're the type to stick with a project.
