want to sleep at 5am and wake up at 10-11 am no matter how hard I try to keep a normal schedule

Something have messed with you circadian rythm., or you're just naturally a B person who likes to go to bed late and wake up late. However, things like light from lights, screens, all mess with how your brain understands the time of day. If your room lack light in the morning, it's usually harder to wake up the same way it is harder to get sleepy in a well lit room in the evening. There are medical conditions related to sleep pattern so if nothing works maybe that's worth checking out.

the second seems more accurate - I've always struggled with insomnia but I find myself more consistent awake and comfortable at night and even if I manage to keep a normal routine for quite some time I will have issues sleeping the normal way - always end up back on nightshift even with proper lighting limited screen usage teas etc  - I sleep a lot better and more consistently on nightshift mode n it feels more natural strangely
