Is it a bad idea to put my plants on the window sill that’s right over the radiator?

thats how my former roomie killed my plants lmao

but if ur windowsill is deep so u can place them closer to the window than to the radiator, n u dont turn ur radiator up that much i think u should be good. I have plants on mine now n radiator never goes above 16 degrees

It depends on the plant and how close the sill is to the heater.

But in general it's not the best idea. There are plants who manage just fine with that setup though.

Like 5 cm above, it’s a gullranka or ”The plant has a number of common names including golden pothosCeylon creeper,[3]hunter's robeivy arumsilver vineSolomon Islands ivy, and taro vine. It is also called devil's vine or devil's ivy” in english. Since it’s winter i figured it needed some more sun so i moved it from the top of my shelf closer to the window

That's a tropical plant so it won't thrive in dry air. I have one too and tbh it's indestructible and does quite well in low light. I think it would do okay on the sill too if the leaves don't touch the heater.

Sounds good i got quite concerned when it started loosing it’s leaves , like they turned yellow but not the lots of air yellow it was just full yellow

Should i spray water on the plant?.?? Internet says yes my plant friend says no he’s like noooooo it’s too cold here for you to do that ur just gonna deplete it of air or smth

Like using a spray bottle

quoting my friend abt the air thing:

- NOOOO DON’T SPRAY
- works for tropical weather
- but you’re hindering the plant from breathing

how often do you water your plant? yellow leaves usually mean too much or too infrequent watering
