Good first start would be getting checked more often (once a year recommended) because your eyesight will get worse wearing an incorrect prescription, then if you keep your eyes from deteriorating faster by wearing the right prescription, you will have more time saving for surgery if that's something you decide to get : )
i went almost 3 years without getting a new prescription. glasses are expensive and i wasnt in a hurry to change them but i had to go get them checked at some point so thats what i did but its still kinda sad how my eyes arent getting better yk..?

Then i wouldn't be too worried. Check ur eyes in a year just to make sure they're not getting any worse. But I wouldn't be too worries about -4

No worries

I'm assuming they checked the pressure in ur eyes and took pictures and all that as well to see if the eyes themselves are healthy? that's routine in sweden at least, so even if the eyesight gets worse u can know that the eye is still healthy inside c:

just commenting to emphasize what the others have said: it should stabilize eventually since you're pretty young (comparatively to when older people in their 70'es or so get worse eyesight)

Cocoa can help with keeping eyesight !! I have this from eye doctor, who said you can get cocoa tablets on prescription some places, but you can also eat dark chocolate for a lil help.

Going down 0.25 each year isn't abnormal, but if your eyesight isn't stable it's not worth getting laser yet.

idk about lasik but i had LASEK done 4 years ago and i was like -2 on both eyes
most painful experience ive ever gone through and the harshest recovery time but being free from glasses is a relief to me

no more cleaning every 3 minutes
no more not seeing in shower
it is great

i didnt go for lasik bc they make an incision which creates a flap on ur eyeball and that thing will never heal so theres a risk of it opening up / flying up which is scary 2 me
