hi america!

7m unemployed and no jobs available for that crazy amount?

ive applied for cashiering postitions, 4y of experience aaaaaand... i get turned down? i got turned down from a position that required no experience.

i currently earn $55-$90 a week, i have medical issues and i get denied benefits for "being ineligible" (?)

atp, i don't mind coughing up the rest of my savings to fly out of the us and restart my life elsewhere starting from being poverty-stricken. at least other places care for homeless, this "country" is just a radioactive wasteland for more bullshit being poured upon us.

i'm rly no better than anyone else but this country is def not any better than me lmfao

diddy parties ahaa!! srsly lol.. and the more rocks they keep picking up the more scums of this earth resurface.

im embarrassed that ppl say that it's their country, try again. 🐑

Do you get uhm, how do they call it, have unemployment benefit from the government? Or is that the one you were denied from? Why though? As far as I know one is eligible for benefits unless you voluntarily quit instead of being let go due to various reasons. Or a kind of medical benefit?

Anyway, it sucks that finding a job is this hard! I hope something good will come along your way

If you applied for disability you usually get denied the first time you apply, afaik. It sucks. I've heard hiring a lawyer to write your appeal letter is a good idea. This country is no doubt a shit hole, I'm sorry it's been so difficult for you.

i've been denied for an unknown reason when i've applied; reason in which was my income.

i've earned less than 10k per month POSSIBLY 5k which is borderline depressing.

i'm only saying it's unknown because it's hypocritical for a center like that to deny an unfortunate being from benefits. unless i've done something wrong but highly doubt because i don't earn anything worth living except for food and soap.

it's weird but i will try again nonetheless, i've went 4 years working at an abusive establishment earning extremely less than any average american around my age would make, atp im looking at poverty and homelessness. i can't wait to decorate my own box of a house!

average american through the ages of 20-25 make around an estimated 38k. i could be wrong with my information, however i've seen that age group with cars and their own apartment to my knowledge.

Unemployment in America is the worst.
And job hunting is somehow worse,
I have 10 years customer service experience and still havent been able to find a job because they would rather hire a 16 year old than someone with experience (because 90% of the time the adult wouldn't do the job of two people for minimum wage like a teenager would)

I've been applying to places I'm not actually qualified for like pharmacy desk jobs, secretary for a lawyers office, sleep apnea test assistant, and they're the only ones who've gotten back to me. So I'd recommend that?

it's easier said than done, i only have $600 left in my savings which is not enough to escape.. but i'll keep that in mind i only seek safety.

I also (if you're able) recommend applying for places to receive truck. You may have to lift 50lb but the hours are decent and consistent. And i was allowed to wear headphones and listen to music/podcasts my entire shift

Hmm that is odd. Unemployed is unemployed...

When it comes to yearly income my country doesn't pay that much for a start-up. I think when I started (granted I only worked and still work 32 hours because of health issues) I earned around 25k at 25. Then again I was working at a place that was below my degree but hey you've got to start somewhere. And it depends where you work I suppose. I guess a psychologist earns at the age of 25 way more than a junior curator at a museum.

But it is so absurd they denied you a job which doesn't require a degree? Or is it because of the age? The older you are the more expensive you are for a company. 19 or 20 can sometimes already be the dealbreaker..

i remember someone telling me that same thing word for word (almost) and ur absolutely right about that but then there's ghost jobs that these employers put up just for the company to gain some sort of something out of it??

and i'd do what you've recommended but how did you do it? usually employers would immediately turn down any application that doesn't match their criteria within the hiring process so receiving a call for not having any qualifications for it is extremely lucky.. tell me ur secrets? lolol

mistake here, i'm still employed but i don't make at least 20+ hrs.

however there's other benefits such as for individuals who don't have a stable job, have moderate to severe health conditions that makes them incapable or of any children in the household. (i.e SNAP, WIC stamps)

i've applied for florida's food and medicare benefits, u alrdy know the answer to that rofl..

whereas to the denial of my application, the store is a large hardware store, alike to home depot.
the highest position that DOES require responsibilities (to my knowledge) would be a certified forklift user or any experience with heavy machinery.

vs..

a cashier role at the store front.

the same role that i'm currently in but i only earn about $12.00. only difference with that role i've applied to is just $3-4 dollars extra.

so to my perspective, i dont think there shouldn't be reasons unless background checks are provided.

what do i oppose in my resume? i have no other experience but my first job that i'm still stuck in 4 yrs later.

unknowingly, i used to earn 12.50 but reduced .50 cents back? it doesn't matter but it still fucks with my work that i'm putting into for a store that lets homeless people attack their cashiers. (me.)

surprisingly enough, aldi's denied my application. a supermarket.

a supermarket that actively hires merchandising and 1 cashier per store, walmart isn't so friendly with my application either and that's a large manufacturer that hires all kinds of experience to none at all.

the job market is dreadfully ridiculous but likewise, i'm not stopping. at this point i may need to reevaluate my resume to make sure. second stop, i've been told that someone's hiring at their job and i've immediately gotten a planned interview with their manager (hopefully i'll get it) but it's fucking ridiculous that i had to tell someone i know to help me get hired. it's true that u need to know somebody in order to find a job.

I called the place to ask if they were actually hiring, or would go in person and ask for the hiring manager and leave a resume

Some places if you call will give you the hiring manager's email, and you can write a "cover letter" type email and attach your resume

I had better luck after I put stuff like "excellent customer service skills, excellent problem solver" things like that that seem more common sense

i've been provided cover letter options but don't know how to create one let alone know what it means, i'm still unknowledgeable about all these things and it makes me feel embarrassed.

related topic question but do u use any job seeking apps?
