idek i think here they want to teach you like stuff for the embalming side as well so it's like a combo class for the front of house stuff and also jussstt in case you wanna embalm ppl so you could already be prepared and get hired for taking care of the bodies n stuff. the pre stuff would be like chemistry/bio chemistry and scienc-y stuff

here in my town at least it's all old ppl who run funeral homes there's no young ppl so they want to teach you everything so ig they figure if you wanna learn the basic stuff you wanna learn the hard stuff too lol

in norway the funeral consultant do not do that part they just arrange the funeral, talk to the family, fix gravestone and pick up the dead person etc stuff like that no medical kinda stuff that's someone elses job
