art commissions or know a thing or two i have a question: what do you use to take your payment?

Back when i was younger i used paypal to take commission payment but i absolutely hated that my real name was shown also that paypal likes to withold money. I read to use a business account but guess what i dont have a business and i fear they would lock my account if i were to do that just to hide my name.

Do yall know any other services that are more private regarding my information?

yea idk for some people it works for some it dont the same goes for like business accounts. I guess it only makes sense if its actually your part/full time job but its so weird commissioning someone and then seeing their full legal name lmfao

I use PayPal with a business account without a real business and have never had any issues cause you don’t actually have to input any business info

i know some people use kofi, and using dedicated commission sites like vgen and commishes  allow you to make sales directly through the site I think but I’ve never made a sell on there (n I haven’t had the energy to apply for a vgen acc yet)

did you turn your normal personal account into a business account or did you create a separate paypal account for commissions? Also do you make regular commissions so lets say at least once a month or just occasionally when you feel like it cause i think that might influence it? ive been setting up my vgen account and i saw that you can make payments directly through the site itself but it uses stripe and i havent used it yet nor am i really sure what its about in terms of protection etc

I honestly don’t remember what I did cause it’s been so long but I think I turned a regular into a business account and then attached a second email to it
I have some months that go dry but I’d say I’ve had money coming in regularly for the past couple of years through es and commissions, a couple of large payments from es but mostly below 350 euros monthly, so I think even if it’s regular it might not be enough money to be cause to set anything off in PayPal’s systems

never used stripe with anything so I can’t speak on that

i was reading terms on paypal recently and they said once you change your personal to a business you can't really change it back so if you want have both a personal and business you should make a separate business one (or make a new personal one). I'm sure you can double check with the q/a or a chat w/ support. I had to talk to support recently and they were chill.
