it's so idk mind-blowing how much imbalanced neurotransmitter ratios make sense for my sensory overloads as well as why i get paradoxical reactions to certain medications

this is also quite cool??:

"Disruptions in E/I balance could impact the connectivity of brain networks crucial for processing social cues, emotions, and Theory of Mind, with different connectivity resulting in challenges understanding perspectives and responding in ways deemed culturally acceptable (Gao and Penzes, 2015). Altered E/I balance might also contribute to sensory sensitivities and heighten anxiety responses during social situations"

idk it's fun to try to connect the dots and get your experiences kind of backed up, if that makes sense? a bit jealous of psych/neuro majors ngl
