K so the guy that died is a guy from our church who we didn't know well because he's been sick for a long while so he stayed at home or hospital. But we knew the wife so we were mostly n there to comfort her and all that.
The viewing and service was fine, one of his buddies even played music and it was nice. The only problem was it was a REALLY TINY funeral home like there was probably 80 people and 20 seats. It was SO crowded like my mom and I were standing on the steps. Plus the director was rude.Â
Then the burial. It was only like 5 mins long. They seemed to be rushing the whole thing because our pastor said the Lord's prayer and then they made everyone go. Like this is literally the last time his wife can physically see her husband again let her have some time damn...
Then the lunch. We were in the most 80s looking restaurant ever. Like there was pastel flowers on the wall lol. Not usually the best sign. We all take our seats and wait for coffee. That takes like half an hour. Then our official drinks like your beers or whiskey or coke, whatever... Another like half hour!! We got there at like 12:00... We left the restaurant at about 2:30 it was so bad I just wanted to go to home. We finally get an appetizer salad that tasted like sour lettuce and carrots and a single cherry tomato each 😠and then we were served our bread and butter, my mom's roll was hard as concrete. Then you got like two tablespoons of corn, flavorless mashed potatoes with gravy that was somehow clear, and a choice of chicken or ham. Expect the real choice was take it or leave it, because they just gave random people whatever. I ended up with chicken. Lemme tellllll you when I say that chicken was DRY AFFFF. And somehow the stuffing inside was a SOGGY mess lolÂ
Yeah it was a bad day😠but at least I got cuddled up with my hubby when I got home
