Our adventure begins in a bustling and busy tavern, on a leisurely day like any other when the door slams open with a force that nearly knocks it off its hinges. a crow beaten and battered hobbles in. you see a rabbit lightning fast jump over the bar counter, over tables and drinks, to run directly to the crow's aid.

"i... couldn't... stop her" he croaks out before any color left from his feathers turns ashen.
the rabbit stands up and unhooks the pendant from the crow's neck.
glossy eyed he looks around the full tavern.

"i need heroes... please..." he says into the silence.

I have all of the encounters now! thank you all so much for your input last time!
now i have a new ask. i would like some HOMEMADE (or customized) items to give them.

this is a roguelike oneshot, so they will have limited item slots

i am specifically looking for: hats, masks, capes/cloaks, armor, boots

and most importantly, weapons.

but remember everybody is less than 3ft tall (or shorter than 1 meter),
i love the idea of some ariette/borrowers inspired human items

It could be faster the smaller the animal is, so like critters noticed some bugs already having turned, followed by some mammals starting to sprout twigs on their tails instead of fur. So it's a race against time to find the ruler before everyone has to watch their loved ones turning into twisty wooden statues<33

Ofc it's not given that finding the ruler is all it takes to fix the situation though, but they don't necessarily have to know that from the start... :)
