my mom is more of quantity than quality when it comes to gifts like she’s always been very excited to just get a lot of gifts even if they’re all cheap or not smth I might have super wanted. Like I used to collect unicorn plushies so when Christmas she gave me a super ugly cheap unicorn plushy from TGR that I felt very meh about but she obviously saw unicorn plushie and went wow Matteo loves those so…

me and my mom are also very close she also likes watching anime movies with me or knows i love sonic and stufff but when it comes to gifts it feels like she reverts back to her default setting lmfaoo but the dad thing is true i couldve said i liked this one food 10 years ago and still gets me the same thing despite saying i dont like it anymore

for being parents they are very good at knowing my interests, Like to the point they have gotten me free merch (free as in gay swimming anime) in the past without double checking if they got the right anime
