PLEASE STOP ADULTS AS OLDER TEENS IN SHOWS

Grease adults playing teenagers as an  older example

WICKED 30 YEAR OLD ACTING LIKE 18-20!! And before anyone says things like "A teenager cant hit the high notes like Ariana" i understand, but the rest of the cast looks mismatched.
AND I KNOW ITS A TIME SKIP BETWEEN THE FIRST AND SECOND PART.

Tv shows suffer from this to, and i hate it! I hope it will get better, because it looks so wrong when an adult with an adult body are acting as an insecure teen with a teen body. AND WHEN THEY HAVE A ROMANTIC LOVE INTEREST THAT ARE WAY YOUNGER THAN THEM!
Do you have any examples of this in the resent years?

Found an article about this.

I want them to have better rights and more and better mental health after filming and help to have  a normal life.
They often use twins in shows and movies to make them work more and harder. And that is wrong in so many ways. Parents are also often stealing the kids money, put them up in shows, movies and so on without talking to the kids. Hollywood are using everyone and does everything to get money.

Children should only do one movie or show and not be in a lot of them and then be seen as their character. Many young children in movies, shows and music often meet a hard life when they turn 18 and people have a hard time to let them grow up. Miley is a good example of this, when she became  an adult people still saw her as her character Hanna Montana.
The one that played Hannas brother in the show was over 29 when they started to film the show.

The show im watching now is about an girl that are 18 in the show, the one that plays her is 30.
It looks wrong and its an uncanny valley when teens are not teens and it shows its an older adult playing them.

It depends on the show/ movie and the characters. There are times when they look like teens even if they are adults. And there are times when the actor/ actress dont look convincing.

teens can absolutely hit the high notes i dont think that would be a problem but let's not normalise mass producing child stars who will get trauma from this industry
tho i agree there should be a change in casting, making it look more realistic

i love the talent of child/teen actors, but it should be avoided as much as possible to hire them

Teens and kids need better and safer places to work and i think one step is to give them a stage name to hide their real name. No it wont solve everything but they wont be a public domain and gets treated like they are a thing and not a person. And as i wrote in a another post that children should only make one movie or one show. The more shows and movies they are in the harder it will be for them to go back to a normal life.

They need better work environment and their parents need to stop to be their manager and book them for movies, and shows and so on. The kids wont get their money, they have to make shows and movies that their parent decided without them.  The studios needs to step up to make sure that the kids are protected as they grow up. You cant have a young child work for you for years and the just ignore them when the public wants them to act as kids when they are adults.

Miley had a hard time when she became an adult and people only saw her character Hanna, when she started to do adult stuff people was mad. I get why she got wild, she had to smash her way to show that she is not a kid anymore.

I also learned the other day that the day Emma Watson turned 18 people started to take pictures of her in an adult angle to show the leg in a upskirt angle photo. Its now forbidden..but it took to 2019 before it became a law. Its disgusting how they treated her on her 18 birthday.

I agree with what you say, as long as it looks natural in the casting there is no problem. But when it shows that the actor/actress is way older than the character they play it looks wrong.  In some shows the daughter looks waaaaaay younger then the mother.

When i saw the wicked the first time i thought Galindas two friends was her nanny's to help her in the school. And the prince looks way old to be in the school of magic.

Yes actually and I want them to be properly compensated for their time and acting. There are so many yourlnger people who WANT to act and we keep getting people who have so many other available opportunities and roles they could take continue to be cast in roles that have them be portrayed as half their age rather than bringing in someone who is closer to the actual age.

Ex
, hire a 20 year old to play the awkward 18 year old graduate who doesnt kmow what to do next, instead of the 30 year old with multiple mansions

Child actors (16 and under) should ONLY be on children's shows or in roles where they are heavily protected both on set and off. A 15 year old child star should not have access to their social media imo

Or one movie or show at young age and not being milked because they are liked. I wrote this before, give the kids a stage name and keep their real name as a secret. It wont help the bigger issues but that way they get some form of privacy in the private.
I think it will help them to be more separated from their work and they as a person.

The kids needs better help when filming and a long time after the movie/ show is done. They need better mental health and the studios making the movies and shows needs to put the foot down and tell the people to let the kids be and not see them as item that never can age and be a teenager and then an adult.

And stop the parents to be their kids manager!
