birth control pill question
Solar
National Star

im using birth control and i feel like its affecting my mood, this didnt use to happen but long story short; i used to take them without stopping, but this made my migraines suddenly act up as i changed brands (cant change back) so im taking them regularly. but now my mood is awful 2/4 weeks, n i think its bc of this? i feel sad / anxious/ super overstimulated by nothing. i havent felt this way in a long time.
however could it be placebo or smth as hormones arent supposed to be different in the pill no matter what week ur in? or does this make sense? google isnt helping much

ve used a lot of birth control methods btw so pls no suggestions unless they are groundbreaking tech lol, bc of migraines a good birth control method is v hard but i have very irregular periods without bc and i go to clients’ houses for work so suddenly getting a period isnjust not an option

i dont think i understand you took the pill without having breaks inbetween making you not have your period or what do you mean?

well i used to get different brands all the time since they sometimes didnt have the one i usually got but they should get you a dupe with the same dose as the other birth control pill you took. If its a completely different pill with different doses then i can imagine that it def can affect you. Bcs every pill is picked out depending on your needs

Do you take any other medicine? Neurodivergent (adhd autism)? Family history of mental health?

My friend has to drink an absurd amount of salt water to balance her ph to avoid migraines

yes other medicine, for allergies and to lower my blood pressure for my migraines
yes neurodivergent, uhh no crazy family history for mental health but migraines run in the family (my mom has them and so does my grandmother)

ive never heard of that o: my migraines have been super manageable w the blood pressure medication, but i started those at the same time i started this brand of bc pill. and since then ive gotten those bad migraines around my period, super bad migraines, and i never used to have them when i had my period. like iknow this is a common thing for women, to get migraines around their period or certain days in their cycle, but i specifically never had that until this birth control pill

i used to twke them indefinitely until i got spotting / started bleedimg despite taking them then i would take a break. this would happen every three months or so. but then i started to get insane migraines when stopping, so i thought jt would maybe work to get more regular periods. but thats not rlyy the case and now i have insane migraines every month lol, and also those very bad mental health weeks…

its a very specific series of events so i can imagine not having any advice, lol. just thought id ask, just in case

u neverknow tbf so its always worth a shot! but even if someone was in the exact same situation the same thing might not be optimal for u, so its always good to talk with someone with more know how on meds n dosages + whats avaliable in ur country etcetc, though its prolly largely the same in the eu
