Do you also think older generations sometimes are more neglectful or careless of their dogs than younger people? They sometimes call it tuff love but idk sometimes they do things that just don't seem right imo.
Like for example when I come over to my in laws their two pit beagles are in a small cage, two of them! There's hardly room poor babies
idk if at least one of them is fixed now but the girl was preggy a few times, maybe 3? It hasn't happened in about 2 years so idk if they're just lucky now or if they're fixed. Although I can't complain, my mom's pit beagle is their daughter.
They're usually only in the cage when people eat because they're not trained the greatest and beg a lot. They love love and cuddles and they never would hurt a single soul, and my in laws definitely love their babies and would be devastated if they lost them but I feel like they could prioritize their safety a little more.
But that's a lot of the boomer generation tbh.
